Iglesia Elim invited me to help capture portraits of women from different ages and backgrounds for their upcoming event.
Even though I’ve practiced photography before, I’ve never thought of myself as a photographer. This project pushed me to step outside of my comfort zone — planning and directing a photoshoot, guiding people through poses.
What I loved most was creating a space where the women felt comfortable and confident. Seeing the final photos used in the event’s marketing was rewarding, but even more so was the growth I experienced by taking on something new.
